Macarena joined Shine Group in July 2011 and is in charge of heading up operations in Spain and Portugal ever since, as part of a growing global network of TV production companies. During these years, she has led, as executive producer, the production of some of the most successful shows in both territories: ‘MasterChef’ in Spain and Portugal, ‘La Isla’, ‘Me Resbala’, ‘Maestros de la Costura’ and its Portuguese version ‘Cosido a Mao’, ‘The Voice Portugal’ and its children’s version ‘The Voice Kids Portugal’, ‘Pesadelo na cozinha’, ‘D’Improviso’, ‘Sabe ou N\u00e3o Sabe’….<\/p>\n
Previously, since 2008, Macarena was Managing Director of BocaBoca Producciones, one of Spain’s leading film and television production companies. During this time, the production company developed successful projects such as 21 d\u00edas, Raphael, Carrero Blanco, 2055, Conexi\u00f3n Samanta, Malas Pulgas, Rescatando a Sara and Vidas Robadas. She got this position after having performed similar tasks at Drive Group.<\/p>\n
Macarena holds a degree in Business Administration and Management and has an extensive career in television, in many different genres and sectors, including her work as General Director of Production at Canal+ Spain, where she was responsible for overseeing the channel’s originals; and Content Director at Telef\u00f3nica Media, in charge of international film and television co-productions with HBO and Fireworks, among others. Her career in television began in the purchasing department of the Telef\u00f3nica Group (Antena3 and V\u00eda Digital) where, as Purchasing Director, she was in control of content selection and assets for pay television.<\/p>\n
