Synopsis

The rattling of the sewing machines returns to television’s most famous workshop, but this time, some very special students will step on the pedal. Mónica Cruz, Pilar Rubio, Edu Soto, Eduardo Casanova, María Esteve, La Terre, Óscar Higares, Rosa López, Laura Sánchez, Carmen Farala, Canco Rodríguez and Silvia Superstar will put aside their successful careers to spend hours among bobbins, pins, thimbles and remnants, as apprentices in the first edition of “Maestros de la Costura Celebrity”. Most of them grew up watching their mothers sew and fashion is an indispensable part of their professions. They have all known the glamorous and glitzy side of the fashion world, but now, in the sewing talent show produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia, they will learn the wider and more real meaning of the word, as well as becoming aware of the important craft of this trade.
For the first time Lorenzo Caprile, María Escoté and Alejandro G. Palomo, the judges of “Maestros de la Costura Celebrity”, will have to evaluate the work of friends, acquaintances and colleagues, but that will not make them any less demanding. In addition, they must inspire them, squeeze their potential and instil in them the importance of responsible and sustainable fashion. For her part, presenter Raquel Sánchez Silva will try to show viewers not only the more unknown side of the apprentices, such as their passion for sewing and their relationship with fashion, but also what they are really like away from the red carpet.
