The Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Government of Andalusia, through Andalucía Exterior, has announced the winners of the Andalusia Tourism Awards 2025, which recognise the outstanding contribution of individuals, companies and institutions to the development and promotion of tourism in the region.

These awards cover categories such as tourism excellence, professional career, innovation, accessibility, and human values, highlighting those who make Andalusian tourism a national and international benchmark.

One of the most significant honours this year was the Ambassador of Andalusia Award, presented to the TV programme MasterChef, the culinary talent show produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia. Since its premiere in 2013, MasterChef has demonstrated a strong commitment to Andalusia, choosing the region as the setting for many of its most memorable challenges. In its most recent edition (MasterChef 12), the programme filmed in Ubrique, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, and during Holy Week in Málaga. MasterChef Celebrity 9 also included a challenge filmed in Tarifa. These visits have reinforced Andalusia’s image as a gastronomic and cultural destination, while also generating significant audience impact and strengthening the connection between the format and the region.

In addition to MasterChef, the 2025 awards also honoured the Association of Travel Agencies of Jaén, the Destino Andalucía programme from COPE, the Porcel Hotels Group in Granada, workers Lucía Soriano and Arturo Bermúdez, the Hospitality School of Islantilla in Huelva, the La Costa restaurant in Almería, the Wine and Brandy Routes of Jerez, and the city of Córdoba.
