- The Venice Television Awards, which highlight the excellence and innovation of international television programmes, have nominated the EITB docuseries in the documentary section.
- This new international success only corroborates the quality and impact on society of this important EITB venture, which has recently received the FesTVal award, as well as the Pello Sarasola awards, the ARFF Barcelona Awards, and international recognition at the Berlin International TV Series Festival and the INPUT 2024 in the USA.
EITB’s documentary series ‘Generación Porno’ continues to be an international success, and the latest of these has come from Italy, where the docuseries has achieved a nomination in the documentary section of the Venice Television Awards, awards that every year highlight the excellence and innovation of international television programmes.
The international recognition of ‘Generación Porno’ has also been reflected in Germany, where in June it was selected by the Berlin International TV SERIES FESTIVAL, in the Best Docu-Series section; and even in the USA, where last May professionals at the INPUT 2024 international conference, a prestigious gathering of public media from all over the world, valued the ‘courage’ of EITB in tackling a subject like this, as well as the ‘constructive way’ in which it has been treated. The meeting took place in Charleston (South Carolina).
This successful trajectory began in March, when ‘Generación Porno’ won the Pello Sarasola Award for the most relevant regional programme, and in April it was awarded at the ARFF BARCELONA AWARDS in the Envision Award Winner category. More recently, last September, ‘Generación Porno’ won a FestVal award at the Vitoria-Gasteiz Television Festival.
Co-produced by EITB and TV3, SHINE IBERIA SL, ‘Generación Porno’ analyses, without filters, the current relationship between teenagers, sex and pornography in the digital era, through interviews with young users, families and experts. It is available on EITB Nahieran and on the free streaming platform PRIMERAN. In addition, EITB has just premiered ‘Generación Click’ on ETB2, a new programme that, in this case, analyses the consequences caused by the abuse of mobiles and social networks in teenagers. It is available on EITB Nahieran, and in Basque, on PRIMERAN.
