Next Saturday, 21 June at 8:00 p.m., the Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa will host the closing gala of the second edition of the Meetings FesTVal Lanzarote Awards, which marks the end of a week dedicated to the audiovisual industry on the island. These awards recognise the careers of outstanding professionals and the impact of the most relevant television formats of the moment.
One of the evening’s highlights will be the award given to 100% Únicos, a format produced by Shine Iberia (Banijay) for Mediaset, presented by Guillermo Fesser. In this programme, individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) become interviewers of some of the country’s most influential personalities, offering a sincere and unique perspective that has resonated with critics and viewers alike. The format goes beyond television, by shedding light on often-overlooked realities, promoting inclusion and breaking down social barriers.
This award adds to a growing list of accolades that confirm the programme’s impact. 100% Únicos has received the Rose d’Or Latino 2024 for Best Docu-Reality or Factual for its innovative and inclusive approach; the AMIGO del Autismo Award, presented at the Spanish Congress of Deputies for its contribution to normalising ASD; the Comunica Award at the Autismo Jaén Awards; the Gesto Award for the social image of people with disabilities, presented by Fundación FANS; the Amiab Social Inclusion Award for media; and the FAAM de Oro Award, recognising its honest and unfiltered portrayal of life with autism.
With this new recognition, 100% Únicos cements its place as one of the most socially engaged and influential formats on television today—proof that entertainment can transform perceptions and foster a more inclusive narrative.
