TVE and Shine Iberia present ‘El Árbol de los Deseos’ (The Tree of Wishes), a program in which actor Edu Soto will play a very special role: making the wishes that the youngest have for their friends and family come true. Edu Soto will travel throughout Spain to surprise various schools. In the schoolyard, a vast and magical tree will grow, crowned with a house. Inside, the presenter will welcome elementary school children. Despite their young age, they will have the power to change the lives of others, such as their friends, family, or anyone they choose. The children will have to write their wishes on cards that will be hung on ‘El Árbol de los Deseos’ (The Tree of Wishes). The tree itself will choose the most special and surprising ones to make them come true. In addition, the magic and enthusiasm of the little ones will serve as inspiration for both young and old. ‘El Árbol de los Deseos’ tells exciting, moving, and also funny stories with a very positive tone. The program arrives in Spain after taking root in the Netherlands, Greece, Slovakia, and Belgium with great audience success. In these countries, anecdotal and amusing wishes have been fulfilled, ranging from giving a wig to a father who wanted to stop being bald to reuniting two siblings who had been separated for 10 years. Surprising and unattainable dreams have also come true, such as the one experienced by an amateur saxophonist after playing in the band of a well-known artist at a massive concert.
